The Foundership scheme

New for Summer 2021! The Foundership scheme is open to students and recent graduates who want to explore their start-up ideas. Formerly the Enternship scheme, the Basecamp Enterprise team have revamped the programme for this year, giving student entrepreneurs the opportunity to explore their options over Summer break.

The four-week scheme equips founders with £1,000 funding, ringfenced networking and workshop opportunities, and allows you to work from the comfort of your own home.

Sound like something you may be interested in? Here is what you can get out of the scheme this Summer:

Goal setting-

On submitting an application, we will ask you to set out what you would like to achieve over the four weeks. This could vary between wanting to undertake some research on your target market to building a prototype. Setting out what you intend to do will mean you can hold yourself accountable, it will motivate you to strive to succeed and will help you break down your overarching goals into tangible, achievable chunks. Successful applicants will submit a weekly report to Basecamp outlining what they achieved each week.

Networking opportunities-

The Foundership scheme is partly run in collaboration with SETsqauared partner, the University of Southampton. Successful applicants will have the opportunity to exclusively network with their students and receive feedback on their ideas.

Successful Bristol and Southampton applicants will collaborate on weekly ‘Ask me Anything sessions’. These workshops will give you the opportunity to find out more about key business subjects from industry professionals and ask those burning questions on core components and business topics such as marketing, finance and more.

Advisory support-

Founders will be able to access local business support specialists from North and East Bristol Support. The weekly ‘Get Social|Connect and Learn’ sessions have been set up specially to support participants and are a way to collaborate with other student entrepreneurs taking part in the programme, share challenges and work together to resolve them and recognise opportunities.

The Foundership scheme is set out to help your build on your support networks, improve your enterprise performance and draw in and enhance on your skillset. All while giving you the opportunity to access funding while working on developing your start-up.!
