If you graduated from your course after August 2017, you will be asked to complete the Graduate Outcomes survey by HESA (the Higher Education Statistics Agency). The Graduate Outcomes survey asks questions about your current situation, so whether you’re in work, studying, travelling or doing something completely different, we want to know!
You can expect to hear from HESA around 15 months after you finish your course. You can find additional information about the survey on the Graduate Outcomes website.

Why should you be part of the picture?
1. To inspire people like you
Completing the survey and sharing what you’re up to now could help to inspire people like you – people that are currently studying your degree subject or are thinking about applying for it. I mean, we all looked up the possible jobs where our degree could take us before committing in UCAS, right?
2. Your University needs you!
The Graduate Outcomes data can help the University with course evaluation and promotion. So please, help us out! Do us a favour and shout about where Bristol Uni helped you get to.

3. Get your voice heard
Besides your current job or master’s course (or whatever you’re doing 15 months after graduation), the survey is also interested in your well-being. The Graduate Outcomes survey is the biggest annual social survey in the UK and represents a real opportunity to have your voice heard.
4. Help others better understand the higher education sector
Your survey responses will help people gain a better understand of the higher education sector. Charities, policymakers and journalists, to name a few, all have an interest in understanding the HE sector. You could even be one of those people, working in one of those sectors, right now.
5. Just do it. Don’t drag it out. Don’t add another thing to your to-do list.
Answer the survey, stop the phone calls!
Now that you’ve read why you should complete the survey, here’s the how. Around 15 months after your graduation, HESA will send you a link to complete the survey or contact you over the phone. To make sure you receive the link or the call, we would be grateful if you could update the Careers Service with your latest contact details through mycareer and we’ll take care of the rest.
Please remember that the Careers Service is still here for you for up to 3 years after graduation. Visit our BristolGrad page to see the practical help, opportunities and more available to graduates.
