My SME Internship: Nikoleta – Views For Change

Hi, my name is Nikoleta, and I’m doing a masters in Management (International Business). As my undergraduate degree I studied Marketing, so I decided to apply for the Marketing Intern position for Views For Change through the SME Internship Scheme.

Views For Change is a corporate giving platform that enables brands to reward advertising engagements with donations to charity.

My tasks were:

  • writing blogs and interviews
  • creating and publishing social media posts
  • researching potential clients
  • coming up with ideas for new campaigns
  • creating newsletters
  • contacting charities

I highly appreciated that my supervisor frequently asked me if there was anything particular I wanted to learn or practice and she went the extra mile when I needed to adapt my working hours around my studies, so I would definitely recommend Views For Change as an employer. I gained many skills, but I would like to highlight copywriting, as creating content for B2B was a whole new experience that taught me a lot about the importance of targeting the right clients.

I encourage anybody who is currently looking for work experience to apply for the SME Internship Scheme, as before I found out about the scheme, looking for part-time jobs in the industry was much more challenging. This is a great way to gain some work experience before finishing your studies, which will make you stand out from the crowd when applying for jobs for after graduation.
