- Employers are there to recruit you
We have a range of employers attending – from small to large, from Bristol and beyond. They are there because they want to recruit University of Bristol students and have immediate vacancies to start this summer. Make the most of this opportunity! Use the app to research employers in advance and target the ones most relevant to you.
2. Alumni insight
A Q&A panel will run at 12 pm with Bristol alumni telling you ‘what they wish they’d known’ when they were in your position. This is a great chance to explore your options and ask those burning questions.
3. Careers service support
We have our dedicated team of careers advisers available throughout the event to check your CV or application, offer advice and guidance and help you find jobs, internships and resources. They will also be running quick talks for different student groups.
4. LinkedIn headshot
PictureVan will be outside the venue offering free professional photos. Without a photo on your profile, it is invisible. The vast majority of employers use LinkedIn as a tool when recruiting so it is important to keep your profile up to date and having a good photograph is important to present the right image.
5. Interview practice
We will be running a series of mock interviews on the day. This is a unique opportunity to practise your interview skills in front of employers and get immediate feedback. Some employers will also be conducting live interviews on the day, so you really do have the opportunity to get hired!
